| raced on red peltonens. Had extreamly fast skiis though minimal to no grip. Was able to gget a little grip on the one llong climb by getting out of the track and climbing up the softer snow along the edge of the trail. Double polled most of the race and would gain lots of time on the flat portions of the trail.
Started in 15 (second row). And was cautious off the start. was in about 20-30th climbing the first hill. I got out of the track and passed a large group of people by running in the soft snow. the following downhill got me a little closer to the lead skiiers. was in ~15th after the first lap (i think) and then the second lap put me in about 12-13th (i think) and then on thethird lap i moved into sixth and the at the beginning of the 4th lap Heid. Wid. passed me back and took off. MAr. Krom. stayed close behind me and then caught me 1km from finnish. i skiied beside her for 600m, she then passed me and i skiied into the stadium in the same track behind her. I switched tracks and sprinted to the finnish with her. She won the sprint by O.39 seconds. Was able to stay focussed despite lack of grip and am happy with the was i skiied this race (both mentally and physically).
I am very happy with the past 2 races. And all week. I raced as hard as I could and have nothing to regret. Remained very focussed this week. Was very calm before all races. |

| skiied 2.5 km course (4X2.5=10km for race).. one big hill the rest is pretty flat. Course finnishes with flats no uphill into the finnish...should be different.

TT:
was 23rd in the TT.(21st in can) Second in Ontario behind k.J. Went really hard. Happy with this result. 3 seconds out of 14th. probably my best sprint TT this year. Skiied TT on 12s.
Quarterfinal:
Knew I had to be top 2 in heat to move on. Went all out. Started hard and lead into the first corner. Was passed by Emi. Chart. up the first steep pitch. Stayed right behind her the whole way up the hill. A girl came up beside me and overtook me cresting the hill and taking the corner at the top of the hill. However she took the bottom corner of the hill wide and i cut in right to the inside and passed her back. Was able to maintain my lead on her by a tiny amount. finished second in heat.
Semifinal:
Started almost immediatly after finnnishing the quarters and was still out of breath starting. Had a poor heat and 3/4 of the way through was so far back taht i decided to lay off and save it for the B final.
B final:
started out hard led into the first corner. Was passed by K.J. on first steep pitch. stayed behind her whole way up and down hill. She made a small gap on the flats. Had a small gap on rest of group. finnished 2nd in B final. 8th overall, 7th in canada, 2nd in Ontario.
Very happy with results. Skiied technically, aggresively and hard. Went from 23rd to 8th...maybe need to work on TT tactics. moved up 15 places which was more then anyone else in my age catagory.
