Nice relaxed rogaine styled event. Came second by a minute was followed by the guy who came first for the first 6 controls.

Great to put some random route choice planning to work.

Orienteering race (Sprint Cup Prologue) 22:51 [4] *** 2.6 km (8:47 / km) +50m 8:01 / km
ahr:196 max:217 spiked:13/13c shoes: Salomon SLAB XA Amphib

Started off really well. Made some smallish mistakes in the circle at control #3 and #7. Real stupid mistakes.

Forgot to take my asthma pump before hand so my pace when from 4:30/km to around 6:00/km which wasnt great at all.

10 AM

Orienteering race (Sprint Cup Final) 17:12 [5] *** 2.2 km (7:49 / km) +70m 6:45 / km
ahr:197 max:213 spiked:17/17c shoes: Salomon SLAB XA Amphib

So finished 8th in the Prologue and was chasing people that had just on a minute ahead of me. Was intense. This time round was alot better, stuffed up #2 and #5 by running past them due to visitors to the botanical gardens being in the way.

I manage to keep my 8th position, but the guy in front of me was 7 sec ahead.

Been to long since my last sprint (which was JWOC), need to do some more prep before the WRE sprint at Big 5.
