Track Running race 18:31 [4] 5.0 km (3:42 / km)
ahr:162 max:170

5K TT

Felt OK at the start and was aiming at 1:25 laps. I started feeling the inside of my shins after the first mile. Couldn't keep my speed up and slowed down a bit. Quads, calves and hamstrings were totally fine during and after the run. Felt like I haven't stressed them at all. Breathing was hard but controlled. HR was around and a bit over the aerobic threshold. So what is hindering me from running fast?.....Just tired from lots of speed work and hills? Not enough willpower to push harder? Age? No idea...

Track Running warm up/down 8:00 [2] 1.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Plyometrics 30:00 [4]
ahr:120 max:155

Now that's something else. My legs are hosed :)

Note

Wow !!!! Is it possible???
As I was doing my drills and technique excercises, I noticed that when I jump left or run left turns my left shin hurts from the inside. No pain in my right shin no matter which way I jump or run.

It might be all those left turns on the track stressing my left shin. Next track intervals I'll be running clockwise on the track to check this theory.

Road Running warm up/down 9:00 [1] 1.0 mi (9:00 / mi) +10m 8:44 / mi
ahr:120 max:130
