Cascade Ultimate Series #2 - Long - Unofficial as I set the course.
'Full speed no mistakes' felt very real, with the exception of couple sloppy compass legs in the tick fog. Now if I can do that on an unfamiliar courses that would be spiffy :)
To be fair my running speed was still pathetic, but to be able to focus mostly on thinking of running faster and about micro route choices instead of reading map and navigating was a fresh change. Aside from compass work here and there it felt more like a extreme terrain cross country race.
3:55 min lost due to compass errors:
8 - 1:10 just missed it to the left
9 - 2:30 too much to the left, tick fog
17 - :15 a bit left

There is no Barkley Marathons for me this year and I am not in a shape to go run a marathon and enjoy it, so I guess I just sleep tonight
Except I got to wake up at 5 to to go out and put the rest of the controls for the long
