Gym 50:00 [4]

Training at Race E. Cathy was sick, so there was only me for Bec to pick on this week. New programme - tough!

MTBO race 1:42:00 [4] 29.0 km (3:31 / km)

MTBO event at woodford. token appearance at an mtbo event this year. quite fun area, but a bit too much mud (really over the mud thing after the last couple of weeks). map was quite good - all tracks mapped with gps, so they were definitely in the right place!... and therefore no probs at all with nav. Dan beat me by 12 mins :-( but I had to beat Thor.

Cycling 7:25:00 [5] 100.0 km (4:27 / km)

Noosa enduro.
very long day out. the word was that the first half (the "flat" half) was going to be really hard because there had been heaps of rain and it was really muddy.... but it turned out to be fine - heaps of muddy creek crossings, but not much mud in between. there were a few wrong turns - the elite start group got sent for a lap of town at the start, and passed us again about 10mins into the race, then a heap of people missed a turn. the pack that Dan was in did about an extra 17k, I made it about 1k down that rd before they all came back and we figured out where to go.
the second "hilly" half started well with some nice rolling hills and really fun descents, then lots of pushing my bike up hills... and then the rain started. The 'arm pumper' (crazy shute straight down the side of a mountain) was a muddy slippery slide, and all the hills after that were too slippery to ride up or down (I tried, and crashed lots!). The last part of the course was really slow, and it was a big relief to finally finish.
came in 2nd in open women (but a fair way behind the elites).
Dan won the single speed category by a fairly huge margin, and was about 12th overall in elite.

Event: WOC 2008

Cycling 2:00:00 [3]

mtb ride in gap creek with Dan and Matt. Went to check out a new trail in GC west... which didn't really exist yet, so we had a fairly long bushbash to get out again. Rode with the AyUps instead of the HID - heaps better and could see really well - even enough to keep up!

Running 20:00 [3]
(injured)

Lap of the uni. Running felt shocking (so unfit now!), but itb wasn't too bad. Pretty much the same as the weekend - tight, but not sore. lots of stretching now!
