Orienteering race (Qld sprint champs) 21:09 [5] 3.4 km (6:13 / km)

Qld sprint champs at my old high school. despite it being 10 years since I've been there I think there was some home-ground advantage, although heaps is new since I was there. Ian had us run up killer hill (of course)wasn't as bad as I remember though!
didn't feel too bad running today - certainly not as tired as I expected to be after yesterday! got beaten by Olly and Simee, but was ahead of all the other girls.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

trying to get the legs moving again after yesterday's long run. no warm down. paid for that!

Note
(injured)

Been getting some hip pain after running, mainly in the right hip, but also some in my left. I've figured out that its cos I'm pronating too much, and I've been taping to try and stop it. worked really well for the long run, but not so much for the sprint champs (prob didn't do such a good job of the taping).

Running long 2:13:00 [3]

Long run from Bridget's place in the Gap. new route!! up south boundary rd, down to boscome rd and into gap creek, up channel 9 track, down telstra (but then took a track which dropped down into simpsons falls). up simpsons falls track to the ring rd and down 3 sisters until the 2nd sister and took the steep track down to moggil rd. then got lost getting back through the streets of the gap to bridgets place. was ok until 2 hours, but the last bit was not very fun. yay for bridgets pool.
will definitely do this run again, but figure out the shortest way back from moggil rd to bridgets place!

Gym 45:00 [3]

recovery week this week (and i needed it).

Running hills 30:17 [5]

Anzac park tt. first one since before heading OS last year, and the slowest in ages. hurt lots, and was pretty depressing to be that slow. Still, I guess its good to put a number to my un-fitness, its certainly shamed me into stepping up the training.

I think being sick for ages means that you first avoid really hard training cos you want to get better, but then kinda forget how to train really hard. today was a good reminder!

Running warm up/down 5:00 [2]

Cycling 1:41:00 [3] 49.0 km (2:04 / km)

tolls. it sucked. my poor body is way too used to being asleep at that time of the morning!
excellent scrambled eggs and coffee at 16th on park.
