In Sydney for the weekend for a wedding. took training gear, but it just didn't happen. Still really tired, and not motivated at all, so a couple of days off was good. had some nice swims, and borrowed bikes from the hostel for a ride along the beach.

Late start, cos we waited for Olly to get out of a tut which went late. Ran with Kirra and Tamsin as well.

So slow. Could barely put one foot in front of the other going up the hills, and a bit unco on the down hills. Looked at my watch at the top of the last hill - said 32 mins... which I didn't realise at the time included the warmup, but wasn't surprised at all to think I was going that slowly. s'pose its ok that I didn't run as slow I thought I was going.

very tired, and feel like I'm getting sick. I think a rest day would be a good plan.

trip to the doc to remove the cactus thorn from leyburn from my foot.
not successful :-(
I now have a hole instead of a lump, but didn't find the bit of cactus thats been causing all the trouble.

finally dragged myself back to a pilates class at uni. new instructor - crazy Italian chick with limited english... point foot-fingers!

still feeling totally wiped out from the weekend, but the pilates class helped a bit. not sure how I'm going to manage to run 3k tonight, especially in some sort of reasonable time.

slow to start with, and ran out of energy half way. Bridget passed me after about a lap, and lasted 1k in front. splits were 3.53, 4.04, 4.03

long warm up to try and convince my legs to go... not particularly successfully.

Training at Race Elements. Kathy has busted her shoulder, so Olly came along today as my training partner to try it out. Easier session today... or maybe just lighter weights - pretty tired after the weekend.
