Running long 1:25:00 [3]

Long run from my place. Very humid morning. Ran with Mat (as far slaughter falls), Clare and Katelyn (to the top of coottha) and Mark (down through the chapel hill trails and anzac park). I was running very slowly, but resisted the option to bail with Clare and Katelyn.
Breakfast was great - Mark supplied buckwheat pancakes and Mat made mango smoothies. We had coffee at bean on dean afterwards (which is now getting unpleasantly crowded on a saturday morning). Ewan had a spectacular chocolate milkshake which had melted chocolate with sprinkles around rim of the glass - awesome!

Orienteering race 18:24 [4]

Cyclones sprint O at St Peters. Good courses, but some very recent changes to OOB areas made things somewhat challenging.

UG meeting afterwards - I am no longer club president which is great! Thanks Peter!!

Running 40:00 [3]

easy run with Dan and Clare from Wendy's. felt pretty average at the start, but warmed up eventually. feeling like I'm starting to recover from nz.
heaps of flood debris around the creeks, including quite high on bridges and in trees.

Running (flood run) 1:25:00 [3]

Run on coottha with Dan to check out flooded creeks. Up toilet block track and Telstra, down the zig zag track and Simpsons falls. All the creeks and most of the tracks were flooded and flowing fast. The forest has taken a beating, heaps of trees down and most of the leaves stripped off - a bit like after the gap-ocalypse except that storm had snapped trees off half way and this time they were blown over. Saw a couple of energex crews out removing trees from power lines. Hopefully we get power back soon...in the mean time we'd better finish the ice cream so it doesn't go bad.
