Cycling 2:00:00 [3]

mtb ride at Daisy hill with Dan. somewhat concerned about the state of my bike skills, and bike, given that its been a year-ish at least since the last outing. the first section of track met expectations, and I kind of expected Dan to get the shits with how slow and useless I was, but somewhere out there I found some skills and remembered how to ride. turns out I'm still quite ok at steep rubbishy climbs. quite tired at the end, bacon and eggs at the rochedale cafe was awesome.

cruised down the coast post-ride to check out the area for the 2016 sprint champs. certainly looks like a winner. big technical area, nice assembly area (with cafe), and a good quarantine area with heaps of warm up space.

Running 1:20:00 [3] 12.0 km (6:40 / km)

Longish run with Lance (all) and Wendy, Clare and Katelyn (some). Feeling pretty flat at the start, and a bit restricted across my upper chest (been feeling a bit like I'm getting sick the last few days). Things improved towards the end, but decided that it was better not to smash myself. First porridge breakfast of the year afterwards, and coffee at bean of course.

the bruises across my legs from hitting the fence wires on sunday have turned some impressive shades of black, purple and yellow. fortunately the damage all seems to be fairly superficial, and the yoga class appears to have sorted the shoulder out.

Yoga 1:00:00 [2]

hot yoga. turns out my shoulder is still a little unhappy about being launched into the dirt on Sunday.

Orienteering race 48:40 [5] 7.1 km (6:51 / km) +205m 5:59 / km

Easter day 3. Cold and windy, but a really fun area and cool courses. Started just as a freezing shower came through, but at least I was running then and not standing around. overshot 1 and bounced off the creek behind (which I think a few people did), and then made a parallel error on 3. I think kryso passed me here, and we ran into 4 together from opposite directions. from there we ran in rough contact for the rest of the course. kryso was running a bit faster, but wider and a bit hesitant into controls. pity I wasn't quick enough to pull us both along a bit faster.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]
