Orienteering race 15:24 [5] 3.0 km (5:08 / km)

Qld sprint champs at a new map out at Redlands - great area with high school and tafe, and a bit of bushland. lots of detail, all one level and perfect sprint size.
Started first and missed the route choice to 1 (and led everyone else astray in the process). also had the joy of turning about 1/3 of the controls on. reasonable run other than that - injury not too bad, but now getting to the point where my lack of fitness is reducing my potential speed back to injury limited speed. fun event.
Rachel and Krystal were predictably faster.

Orienteering race 13:07 [4] 2.4 km (5:28 / km)

sprint relay with Katelyn. massive faff about by TF getting this going, but it was pretty fun in the end. had a good battle with Brenton, Caroline and Meredith. plenty of changes of lead, but turns out Caroline was foxing and sat in the pack and burnt us all off in the end.

Running warm up/down 40:00 [1]

Running 15:00 [2]

did the warm up with the crew doing the 3k time trial. hammy insertion was a bit worse than on the weekend, so happy not to be doing any more.
super humid evening, so again - very happy not to be trying to run hard.

Cycling 1:34:00 [3] 46.0 km (2:03 / km)

River loop with Dan and a couple of his work crew. good ride, but it did tighten my back up a bit.

Note

Sore throat. Damn.

Swim 35:00 [3] 1.5 km (23:20 / km)

Swim. pool isn't as crowded as on the super hot days, and the water is cooler/clearer/less like bathing in the sweat of the masses.
did 300 warm up, then 10 x 50 hard/50 easy, then 200wd. I'm sure all my effort trying to swim hard has no impact at all on speed, but it does make the session less boring, and feel more like training.
