Kayak with Stu from the Ohau Chanel accross to the island and back. In the Filthy Advantage, Stu and I did a bit of paddle swapping.

Kayak from Marcus' place on Lake Rotoiti. In his UFO, Marcus and John in the Insomniac. A little choppy. Not sure if I like the UFO, feels twichy after the Sharp. Managed to snap the rudder cable too.

MTB from home. All over the forest, up lots of hills. Concentrating on just riding steady and finishing as strong as I started.

Steady run from home. Just cruising, lost motivation with at about the 70 min mark and slowed even more. Not feeling too bad considering/

Monday Mar 24

Orienteering 37:00 [5] +245m
Nationals Relay. Went hard for the first loop, but then started to struggle. Lost the pack on the second loop, then slowed and made a small mistake. Hurting after that.

Sunday Mar 23

Orienteering 1:53:00 [5] +770m
Nationals Classic. Started slow and got slower. Made a few smallish mistakes but nothing that serious. Got passed by Aaron and Michael going about 1/3 as fast again as me, then by Neil going a little quicker.

Nationals middle distance. Nav was going well, but just couldn't run especially near the end.

Nationals Sprint. Dropped about 30 seconds on the, but just not running fast enough to get a good result.

Kayak on Lake Rotoiti. Races some yachts to the hot pools, down wind. Then worked hard battiling back into it on the way back.

Morning Run from home. Cant be bothered going hard in the morning.

Steady kayak on Lake Okaraka. Real windy and choppy. Especially around Wet Neil Point.

Did the Tore loop for the first time in years, with Stu and Wayne. They were both running well. I was a bit flat, but we still got along at a good clip. Best I've ever seen Wayne running I think, even on the rough.

Early morning kayak in the doubles with Wayne, Stu and Anna from Anna's house. Going fairly easy. Anna was trying to get her timing right again.
Note
Very little sleep. Waipu has a mosquito infestiation, and we were all attacked. Hot and humid as well, so couldn't cover up. Itchy.

Event: The Boohai
 
Kayaking 2:05:00 [3]
Paddle with Stu, Wayne and Anna. Was nice and windy and a bit choppy. Feeling good, Wayne has a new girly paddle and recons he has a new stroke, that is slower. I didn't notice much difference.
Mountain Biking 2:10:05 [3] +915m
MTBing at the mountain bike park near Whangarei with Stu and Wayne. Feeling ok pretty cool trails, but muddy as. Lots of big gravel hills. Even managed a 180 do put in a few extra k's.
