| Went training with Kez on glendale. Started slowly, did a few controls together then a couple of loops separately and finished it off with a fast few controls. Nice to be out orienteering again, but it was all a little rusty.
Discovered when I was packing my bag last night that my trusty suunto compass was broken - the housing was snapped. Must have happened list time I orienteered properly, but that was so long ago that I can't remember it happening. Anyway, decided to get out the araldite and glue it back together. I can no longer rotate the housing to take a bearing, but it's better then having to use a silva compass. Araldite seemed to hold, but I didn't test it too strenuously. |

| Did my staple Aranda Oval session (8 * 1 lap with 1/2 lap rec) partly as a test to see if I could run. Was a bit slower than last time I did it, and had a lot of trouble judging pace. But can't be too concerned. |

| Sprint orienteering session at ANU. Extremely rusty, but then again this was the first orienteering course I've done in 11 months! Have some work to do before oceania so will head down to namagi on the weekend. |

| Day home with Ella so I entertained her by doing all my exercises. I can tell she has a good sense of humour because she laughs at me when I try to balance on the swiss ball. Then we went down to tilleys for a coffee with shep. |

| Had planned a hard run today, but feeling a bit tired so just did a loop of Aranda Hill with stace. Got to run in the light which was a novelty. |
