Day 6 - Middle distance mentality isn’t correct. Went out too hard and fast and just ended up making mistakes. My fast running on legs I didn’t make mistakes on helped keep a reasonable time and I finished up 19th. Ended the week with 13th overall which is much better than I expected coming into the week. So pleased and enjoyed the week a lot.

Day 6 - Probably the best run I have ever had in my life. One tiny error on the route to number 6 but apart from that I was fast, clean and just enjoyed every minute. Finished in 8th place. Top 10 was an incredible feeling.

Day 4 - Really solid run finishing up 14th. Been consistent on 3/4 days so far. No major controls and speed was good but Darragh was faster again. Clearly long distance is my thing but fitness is lacking currently.

Day 3 - Shit run. First 3 controls went, mistake in number 4 and then leaving number 4 my direction was awful and I ended up in the very wrong place and lost around 15mins on number 5 which resulted in a very bad mental state for the rest of the race. Decided to not push hard for the rest of the race because there was no point being tired after a run that wasn’t going to be good anyway. After number 5 I only made one other error at number 9 when I ended up at the crossing point that was too low.
Rest of the course was accurate but slow. 34th in the end which isn’t great compared to the other two days. Hopefully I’ll have two other good runs and this won’t count towards my overall standing.

Day 2 - Really good race today. Clean for the first 5 controls and executed the route to number 6 (first long leg) well but made a mistake from the attackpoint in. Head back in it after 6 and so 7 went well but on control 8 I ended up too low and realised very quickly but still had to climb up the hill. Rest of the race was clean and fast.
Finished 14th and very happy with my run today. Two good runs in a row feels great.

Day 1 - Solid race to start the week. Went really well up until control 11 where I made a small mistake and lost around 2 and a half minutes. This was after the long leg and I was tired and the leg was technical but apart from that the run went really well. Constantly checking the map whilst moving really makes the differences. Finally I might be improving. :)
