Strength 30:00 [1]

Strength workout out at home. Some creative solutions with resistance bands.

3 x 60 seconds of glute marches off my sofa (shoulders on the sofa)
3 x 12 reps of a seated row (using a resistance band in the door)
3 x 20 reps bodyweight deep squats
3 x 12 reps of incline dumbbell press (12 lb per hand)
3 x (20, 11, 12) reps of bodyweight single leg deadlifts. My left foot really cramps with these
1 x 24 monster walks with a resistance band around my knees
30 seconds RKC plank
1 x 10 horizontal chops with a resistance band in the door

My hamstrings are still sore from working out on Friday... Might have been a bit overeager with those deadlifts.

Downhill Skiing 1:00:00 [1]

Day 2 of skiing after a hot tub and pizza the night before. There was about 15cm of new snow, which was great. Got to go ski in some pretty deep powder which was fun! It was not as clear today, but the snow conditions were great! A successful ski weekend overall. Oscar's gotten so much better at skiing this season! Legs definitely feeling tired by the end of the day. We were on the hill from about 9-4pm both days.

Downhill Skiing 1:00:00 [1]

Skiing at Whistler with Oscar, Mom, and Scott. Glad we didn't try to get up on Friday evening as there was an accident and the highway was closed from 5:30 - 11pm. We ended up taking the bus up early on Saturday morning as I wasn't super confident driving the Corolla up at 6am with a decent amount of new snow overnight. Good to know that we can catch a bus about 500m from our place and costs a fairly reasonable $35 return.

Super beautiful day and some fresh snow! We tried skiing on the Blackcomb glacier, which included a little bit of hiking and a moderately stressful (by my standards) traverse and then an icy ski out. Rest of the day was feeling good though!

Strength 30:00 [1]

I've felt like I've been teetering on the edge of being sick for most of this week, but think I've managed to avoid it. Need to start being more active again. My lower leg injury definitely is worse for wear after sprint camp.

Strength workout.

3 x 12 single arm row (#12) (each side)
3 x 20 body weight squats
3 x 12 floor press (#15)
3 x 20 deadlifts (#18)
60 seconds front plank
30 side lying hip adduction (each side)
30 seconds side plank (each side)
