Note

In Mexico for a wedding! Some walking around and dancing, but not a lot of exercise. Monterrey is hot, polluted, and not very pedestrian-friendly. The trip was fun though!

TRX Fusion Class at Cyklus. 4 rounds off the bike, 4 rounds on the bike. I like the TRX part, but found it a bit jerky to hop back on the bike and then go super hard.

Spin class at Cyklus. This was Shelley's last class before she goes away for the winter. It was a tough one! A fire alarm went off in the last watts test (there was no fire). I wasn't sure whether it was part of the song or an actual alarm. I was hitting 5 watts per kilo though, which is pretty high for me!

Tried out a class at Tight Club Athletics called Booty Luv through class pass. A mix of things, but mostly targeting the glutes. It seemed like a nice welcoming studio. I've temporarily canceled my classpass (I was only getting 5 credits a month), so this was a good last class!

Mt Gardner. Beautiful day to explore Mt Gardner on Bowen Island with Oscar, Marco, Anna, and Ian! We decided to take the car on the ferry to avoid the 3km walk to the trail head, which saved some time. Checked out the chocolatier and distillery on the way back. Lovely hiking weather :) Time is moving time.

I decided I should slowly start running again for summer orienteering activities. I haven’t gone on a run since last January... in an attempt to avoid my pesky posterior tibialis issues I’ve had in the past, I've decided to do a slow walk/run progression.

5 minute warm up walk, 8 x 1 minute run and 2 minute walk, plus a cool down walk to get back home.

Stairs 4:30 [2] +50m

Sprinkler goes off on 7th floor > very wet elevators > lots of sitars. At least we were prepared with our stairwell key this time so could get back on our floor. Last time it took them about 5 days to get one of the elevators back working and then another 3 months to get the second one working. We had just gotten to the point where the elevators were functioning pretty normally. Apparently they don't like being flooded with water. I suppose one benefit of being on the 23rd floor is that you are less likely to get flooded, but you also have to climb.
