Yay! Lot's of jumping kicks. Except now I'm feeling a little sore in my quads. I suppose it's not the smartest idea to try and kick stuff atleast 10 ft high without training consistently.

Thanks to Natasha, I got my 8km (well, close enough) run in that was planned for the weekend. My legs felt really tired throughout the run, but it was still pretty good. We had a nice route. :)

Note

I was planning on going for an 8km run this morning, but we didn't get home until 1:00AMish and I was exhausted from a full day at the squash court. Plus I have a math exam tomorrow that I desperately need to study for.

I was really suppose to play this game on Friday night, except my opponent didn't show up so we played at 8:00AM Friday. This game went a lot better than the last time I played her, even though she beat me 3-0. It was fun though!

Best squash game yet! We went to 5 games (mostly because my opponent didn't kill my loose balls), and most of the games were pretty close. I played pretty well for me, so I was really happy with myself in this game.

Our 6km as part of the 10KM clinic. It felt good, but it amazes me how slow we run in our group runs. We also had an interesting shoe talk before, apparently I'm in a stability shoe. 8KM run is planned for Sunday. That'll be the longest run I've done yet!

Normal practice. Marc came out to help us so we got some really good coaching. And I'm now trying to get on the squash court everyday until the Canada Games at the beginning of March.

I think that was the slowest 3km I've ever run. It was our first night of the 10km clinic, and we were really suppose to run 6km, but decided to only do 3km because it was the first night and a little cold.

I was actually at squash for around 3 hours for Ladies' Night and Canada Games squash practice, but a lot of it wasm't very hard. By the end for some reason I felt drained mentally and physically, but the practice wasn't hard at all!

First time I've done my weight circuit thing in a while so I lowered some of the weights so as not to injure myself. So I did:

2 x 15 reps - squats with a wellness ball
2 x 15 reps - leg press: weight 60
2 x 15 reps - abductor machine (pushing in): plate 5
2 x 15 reps - abductor machine (pushing out): plate 4
2 x 15 reps - chest press: weight 25
2 x 15 reps - shoulder press: weight 5
2 x 15 reps - vertical traction: weight 35
2 x 15 reps - bicep curls: weight 10
2 x 15 reps - tricep pulls: weight 15
2 x 15 reps - lower back bench
2 x 15 reps - crunches on a wellness ball



Strength (Elliptical) 10:00 [2]

This was done in between the leg exercises and arm exercises.

Running (Treadmill) 10:00 [3]

I'm not really sure if you would call it a cool down, but I ran for 10 minutes on the treadmill at the end with varying gradients and speeds.

Was one of our hardest squash practices yet. The other girl and I rotated doing drop shots for aprox. 90 seconds with dad feeding us. Then we did explosive squats (I'm not exactly sure what they're called) for 35 seconds, 25 seconds, and 25 seconds, and then two sets of court sprints for 90 secs. I felt exhausted, but unable to push myself to my max.

Another note, I started a mental training program tonight, and am starting the 10km running clinic from the Running Room on the 18th so I'll be more motivated to run.

The Resolution 5km run. As I haven't been running at all lately I decided to take it fairly slow, plus I was running with a friend whose has recently injured her heel. Felt pretty good, but my shins hurt some throughout the race. Third year in a row I've done this race!
