Orienteering 47:50 [2]
shoes: Asics Cumulus 17

Expert course at the WJR at UBC. I was not mentally prepared for how wet and cold it was (that's the thing about living in an apartment, you don't actually get outside until after you've left). Ran the expert instead of the elite due the lack of running lately. Glad I did as this was a nice length for me. I enjoyed the course after I got warmed up (approximately control 8 or 10 haha). Required a bath and a long time under the covers to get warmed up once I got home.

Warm-up/Cool-down/Stretch 27:00 [0]

Stretch video. All the poses were held for 1 minute. My belly was too full of pizza!

Friday Nov 17 #

Circuit 17:00 [2]

Intervals again (20 seconds on, 10 seconds off). Included a warm up. Had to sneak this in before bed tonight because I was pretty busy day tonight. Also tried curling for the first time at my grad department's social. It was pretty fun although I was very inconsistent. Feel like that is something every Canadian should try at least once!

Strength 10:00 [2]

Lower body strength. Felt like I was sweating more in this than the intervals although maybe I was just getting warmed up.

Warm-up/Cool-down/Stretch 5:00 [0]

Cool down stretch. I've done all the parts of week 3 (besides the optional stretch tomorrow). I'm pleased with my consistency. :) It's definitely easier to do them in the morning before work though.

Thursday Nov 16 #

Warm-up/Cool-down/Stretch 5:00 [1]

Warm up video.

Strength 27:00 [1]

Upper body strength video. There were 3 different super sets that each had 2 exercises. Each super set was done 3 times. I found it tricky to pick the right amount of weight to have correct form while still getting fatigued.

Wednesday Nov 15 #

Circuit 30:00 [3]

Core and HIIT video. It was AABB x 2 with 20 seconds on 10 seconds off. The cardio intervals were tough (star jumps, jumping lunges, burpees, etc).

Tuesday Nov 14 #

Strength 33:00 [1]

Upper body strength exercises along with a couple of cardio intervals. The video included the warm up and cool down. I should probably start tracking the weights I’m doing for certain exercises.

Monday Nov 13 #

Warm-up/Cool-down/Stretch 5:00 [1]

Warm up video.

Strength 23:00 [2]

Lower body strength video. I like the "for people who get bored easily format" where you only do each exercise once. This one was sweaty!

Warm-up/Cool-down/Stretch 5:00 [0]

Cool down stretch.
