Downhill Skiing 1:00:00 [1]

Round two at Whistler. There was more snow and it seemed much more powdery today! We got a really early start and managed to get 6 runs in before 11 am with barely any lines. This was super fun skiing. After an early lunch, Symphony opened, which was great. Got to try Rhapsody bowl for the first time, which was a little steep, but very manageable. Had to wrap up a bit early as we had things to do in the evening. The Lion's Gate Bridge traffic was pretty bad still (even with the early departure). Super fun day today! Line ups weren't too bad. Didn't wait more than 10 minutes ever.

Downhill Skiing 1:00:00 [1]

Skiing with Oscar at Whistler. Got up Blackcomb a little bit later. A lot of the runs that we did were pretty skied out, so it was a combination of scrapey and then a pile of powder. We went up to the glacier, which was cool. I still get a bit scared dropping in, but inside was fun. Nice to finally have some sun while skiing! Overall a good day as we finished it with a hot tub and board games :)

Week 1 Run 3 - 7 x 1 minute run/2 minute walk. Sun and blue skies! I did a 5-minute warm-up and cool-down walk, but did bother to include it in the recording. My running stride feels really awkward right now as I'm trying to have a higher cadence and not heel strike as much. Listening to Reply All.

Total body StrengthFit class.

4 times through each exercise (40 seconds each time)

t-bar row (with 10lb plate added)
bicep curl (15 - 12 lbs depending on the set)
deadlift (first two sets with 95lbs, second two sets with 105 lbs)
tank push
goblet squat with 5 seconds on the way down (mix with yellow kettle ball or 35lb dumbbell)
neutral grip pull up (with green and blue band and then last few reps with two green bands since my grip strength was done)

My arms were so noodle-y at the end!

2 walk/1 min jog x 6 with a 6 minute warm-up and cool down walk. It gets very dark on the other side of the Burrard Street Bridge! Missed the sunshine, but it was still nice and fresh. Trying to keep my cadence higher. Listening to 99% Invisible about the fraktur font.

StrengthFit class. Still on pull ups. Accessory exercises with 3-point plank, farmers carries, lateral raise, and barbell overhead press.

Spin class during my shift. Wasn't even sure that I'd do it since I felt so tired before, but felt okay during class. It was a new instructor, so they have a couple of things to work on, but I liked the music and it was certainly a work out.

Nice, easy UBC Loop with Anna and her new bike. Definitely feeling a little rusty outside and not totally sure how to dress for this weather, but it was nice in the sun! Arbutus Greenway was fairly busy coming back. Finished it off with a hot chocolate at Musette.
