Hiking 4:18:06 [1] 11.74 km (21:59 / km) +1051m 15:11 / km
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 12

Flint and Feather and Snowy Dam Mountain hike with Ian. First time doing Flint and Feather, which is an unmarked trail in between BCMC and Grouse. The scramble wasn't too bad, even though the rock was a little wet. Dam Mountain had quite a lot of snow, so we stopped before the top when we found a good snacking rock. Beautiful day out. I can tell I'll be sore tomorrow--I definitely feel out of shape. Lower left leg was a little unhappy near the end of the day.

Went out and played some spike ball and Kubb in the park with friends afterwards. I was bad at both, but so was everyone else, haha.

None to Run Week 8 Run 1

Lunch time run with Marco and Oscar. Nice to have the Sea Wall be less busy. It's feeling humid out there. This week repeats the 2 minutes jog, 30 seconds walk.

Biking 1:12:39 [1] 26.07 km (2:47 / km) +186m 2:41 / km

Social ride with Alexis. Two loops around Stanley Park. Lovely evening for a bike ride. Time goes by so much quicker when you can chat with someone. I wish there were more places where you can safely ride two by two.

Biking 46:19 [3] 16.62 km (2:47 / km) +103m 2:42 / km

After work ride with Oscar around Stanley Park. Good to get out and move. I haven't been doing as good of job with moving throughout the day while trying to get my whole thesis ready to send to my committee, my internship, and TA-ing.

I'm not sure if the new pylons separating one lane for bikes and one lane for cars are helping. It's pretty narrow to pass slower-moving cyclists (especially if they are in a group), which causes the fast cyclists to weave in and out of the pylons into the 'car' lane. Getting diverted into the parking lots threw me for a loop too.

None to Run Week 7 Run 3
Mid-day break with Oscar. 2 min jogging, 30 seconds walking. All done Week 7. Week 8 is a repeat of the wak/jog interval from this week. So needed to get some exercise in today.
