Heart rate showed a nice and steady upward trend which is nice. Darn tiring course though.. 8 inches of compacted snow, up and down slippery slopes. Felt nice to be orienteering again though :-)

1) Over excited start led to a poor bearing then regrouping at the river junction. Will work on following the orienteering

2) Good routechoice staying on top. Next time use the elevation to spot the target for a more efficient spike after decent

4) Happy with my routechoice, control was 100m farther up so it it had've been marked there would have taken a different route chocie

5) Smooth bearing to the control, head was up looking for the reentrant

6) Lost bearing coming up the hill. When terrain becomes physical remember to focus on the mental pieces

7) Good job looking into terrain and with head up

8) Bearing was a bit off. Got over eager after running around people. Need to follow the orienteering

10) Smooth cut and path through the faster terrain. Good job entering the control in control :-D

11) Smart to avoid the reentrant and good job maintaining contact on the large trail via elevation platoe. Good attackpoint in aroudn the hill

12) In hindsight shouldve gone straight. The terrain has nasty reentrant so was a bad choice to think about running up to 12

13) Smooth run to the control. Next time use times of control to actively plan ahead

14) Good bearing and visualization of the control circle to enter control well

15) Poor bearing out. Next time take the time to get a good sense of direction to prevent wobbling and increase confidence. Good catch to hit the control

16) Suprisingly technical control. Next time regroup and refocus after getting over the hill for a more confident entry

17) Took the straight route to practice orienteering. Fairly good control for the first half. Lost focus after crossing the large path and checked off the boulder but did not reorient. Next time be aware of the importance of seeing a features and actively using it to improve localized navigation.

18) Good job using the middle swamp as a handrail

Orienteering 50:00 [1] 5.0 km (10:00 / km)

Exsausting control pickup. did 2/3 of the controls
