Orienteering 30:24 [3] 3.84 km (7:55 / km) +43m 7:29 / km
ahr:124 max:165

Hanging controls for kid-o. No goats were hurt.

Running 49:08 [3] 9.68 km (5:05 / km) +99m 4:50 / km
ahr:164 max:176

Followed by the terrain loop. This time, o-shoes were the wrong choice as the ground was mostly frozen hard so it felt like running on concrete.

Tough into the headwind on the second half and pretty tired, but got through ok.

Cycling 22:16 [3] 8.26 km (2:42 / km) +41m 2:38 / km
ahr:130 max:167

To Barnes, to pick up an Afternoon Tea from the Olympic Studios. Mega headwind but sunny and tried to push relatively hard.

Cycling 21:27 [3] 8.72 km (2:28 / km) +45m 2:24 / km
ahr:117 max:145

The tailwind on the way back was nice, and the food made it back in one piece.

There’s something Pavlovian about the cold that makes me crave long(ish) runs, so decided on a loop to Barnes via Putney Heath on the way out and Mortlake back. Really muddy in places, busy in others, but overall not too bad.

Felt properly crap for the first 20 minutes but then settled into an ok rhythm. The last 20 were even reasonably strong, so good news.

Note

For any budding Swedish speakers out there (or those who just enjoy listening to it), I recommend ‘Kärlek och anarki’ on Netflix. Insane but also genius, very well acted and with some gratuitous nudity (of both sexes) thrown in.
