Hot! Too hot and sunny really to do a long hard hilly run. Went down to hammarbybacken with thr aim of doing roughly 20k and 1000m climb, or in any case an two and a half hours. Carried all my mandatory gear for bydalens 50k, as a bit of a test, and really suffered for it in the sun. Felt pretty close to overheating after the first few hill reps, so pared bavk my ambitions accordingly. Did about 25mins on tracks in nackareservatet, then 4x up and down hammarbybacken. Then another 20mins in the forest, refilled water at the car, did another 4 hill laps, then another 35 mins in the forest. Last twenty minutes were a struggle. Swim in sicklasjön afterwards was great.
The huma gels and flap jack that I ate went down ok considering the heat. However I got terrible indigestion afterwards, same thing happened on previous long run. Might have tp go back gu gels and try some electrolyte drink in the future.
