Running 58:00 [3] 11.0 km (5:16 / km)

Slowish night run with a few guys around the kings/commonwealth bridge loop. Did some stair runs halfway around as well and had a very long kick at the finish.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Slow run around, kicking the footy before our Aussie Rules game with Johns College.

Team Sports (Aussie Rules) 1:00:00 [2]

Lost the game by 22 points. Tragic.

Team Sports (Soccer) 2:20:00 [3]

Played in the staff V students annual game and lost 1-0. Shame. After the game we had bit more of a kick around with some of the local hooligans.

Team Sports (Soccer) 2:30:00 [3]

Kick around with the boys. Whatever

Running long (Lake run) 1:10:00 [3] 16.0 km (4:23 / km)
shoes: Asics GT 2110 (4E)

Not feeling well at all, not sick but very sore muscles and the new shoes gave me a blister. Shame.

Running intervals (Stairs) 5:00 [5]

I ran past some biggish stairs on the long run (at the edge of commonwealth bridge) and did about 15 reps up and down.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1]

Warm up for the opening inter-college AFL game. True story.

Aussie rules intervals 1:00:00 [3]

First Aussie rules game ever. Wasn't as rough as i thought it would be so I'm going to have another go next weekend.

Running hills (Black Mountain) 42:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT 2110 (4E)

Slow Black mountain run after the game as I wasn't feeling nearly tired enough. Sadly didn't run hard enough and still didn't feel like i'd done enough.

Orienteering race (JWOC Middle distance Qual) 27 [5] ***
(sick)

Did well untill the third last control where I started running too fast and made a big error. Followed this up with another one on the following control and I knew that I wouldn't make the A final.

Orienteering race (JWOC Classic) 1:17:00 [4] **** 12.5 mi (6:10 / mi)
(sick)

Of all the days at JWOC this is the one I was most dissapointed in. The fact that my good long training including success at the Canberra half marathon was wasted becasue I was feeling sick was immensely frustraing.

Orienteering race (JWOC Sprint) 12:08 [5] *** 3.1 km (3:55 / km)
spiked:15/15c shoes: Asics GT 2110 (4E)

Lost time on the first control (10 seconds behind leader) but made good ground through the first half of the course. Fortunate in second loop that I could see a competitor ahead who helped me into the final few controls in the forest. Pretty damn near perfect run and not a bad place to do it.
