Saturday May 20

Orienteering race (Maquarie woods elite race) 36:29 [4] *** 6.1 km (5:59 / km)
spiked:18/16c
Fast open pine forest run. Some small mistakes towards the end attributed to tiredness but overall not a bad run.

Friday May 19

Running (Soccer training) 2:00:00 [3]
2 hour college soccer training. 'Nuff said.

Thursday May 18

Running intervals (Fartlek) 1:12:55 [4] 10 km (7:18 / km)
Long interval training run with short 'sprints' (50m-80m) spaced every 200m or so on a 10km run. Also did 15 stair sprints halfway round on the south side of Commonwealth Avenue Bridge.

Wednesday May 17

Running warm up/down (Run to/from training) 20:00 [2] 4 km (5:00 / km)
Roundabout warm up run to the Purple Pickle for the start of the Wednesday night sprint training.
Orienteering (Wed night sprint at ANU) 35:00 [4] *** 5 km (7:00 / km)
shoes: Asics gel evolution runners
Handicapped sprint course with extra legs/forced rout choice to keep the group running as a pack. Speed was ok.

Tuesday May 16

Running intervals (Forest hill intervals) 50:00 [4] 3 km (16:40 / km)
5 reps of hill intervals in one area followed by some 1min sprints with 30sec recovery.

Monday May 15

Running (Recovery run) 35:00 [2] 6 km (5:50 / km)
Run around national museum and back with a few zigzags.

Sunday May 14

Running race (Canberra half marathon) 1:16:14 [4] 21.1 km (3:37 / km) vdot: 61.7
shoes: Asics gel evolution runners
Good first ever half marathon. Had a spew. Beat G. Caught by scotty with about 5 ks to go. Finished 8th in the race.
