| Rest day before city2surf tommorow morning. I'm feeling good, not too sore from 2 soccer games yesterday. I'm well hydrated, well fed and ready to go. My training leading into the race has been much better this year as well (although shotened to about a month due to injury) and I'm hoping to cut my time down from 52:56 to sub 50 with a good race plan and dropping the extra minute or two where I had to wait at the start (amongst a throng of people) last year. |

| 3 x 4 minute efforts with 2 minute floats at 3km race pace. Was meaning to do quite a few more than that but the legs were outrageously sore and so stopped after 3 to do some stretching but was still too sore to continue. That said I was making really good distance during the efforts and was running 30-50m further than last week for the same time of effort. Will get on the bike the next few days to save the legs from the impact. |
