Last nights drinking, as per usual, caused the earlier than desired wake up. Was pottering around cleaning up general house mess when Jonno emerged also and was pumped for his 3rd run in 3 days so off we went. Just a short one as we had to be back in time to get the McCombs to the airport. Up Aranda Hill and down the DS track. Reminisced with a few Oslo stories.

Earlyish run with Searlo on his and Stace's big day. Tash, Hoggster, Jonno & myself escorted him round the classic with diamond cutter extension. Actually went back to the old concrete path classic as GDE development has done enough to allow us back onto the path. Tough run on Searlo as Tash was still running at Searlo easy run pace from the early-90s. Had a yack to Tash which was great.

The Searle-Potter wedding went off without a hitch. Beautiful day, lovely gardens and excellent reception at country-pub-turned-into-reception-centre. The now-Searles seemed fairly relaxed and enjoyed themselves with the most stress eminating from Jamie Potter, Andy Searle and myself who were charged with getting Dave to the church on time (well to the gardens actually). Some guests relived their youthful pk (pre-kids) drinking efforts at the reception which was great to see.

The Searle-Potter wedding festival has begun with arrival of McCombs to the household. I suggested a short evening run to Jonno who wasnt that keen but said he'd give it a go. By the time we'd got ready to go there were a few spots of rain and I wasnt that keen but said I'd give it a go. Ran up Mt Painter and it started coming down heavy half way up. Could barealy see Black Mtn from the top as waves of rain came across. Absoloutely soaked by the end but great to see the rain. Oh and good to see Jonno. Running with Jonno reminded me that he only wears thorlo socks running. When we lived together in Oslo and were training machines Jonno had about 4 pairs of thorlos (we were also fairly poor) and he would wear them right way and then inside out on the next run to keep wearing thorlos.

A little trot with Searlo diagonally up Aranda Hill and back down DS Hill. Finished the run at the Jammo TAB where my money was deposited on Blue Monday. It appears any requests to withdraw this money will be refused after the aforementioned nag came about 8th. Searlo's got a place so the trip wasnt totally in vain.

Day off so decided, after all the food and grog consumption on the weekend, that I should try and do a longish run. From home down through Rani Rd, up push bike hill to top of Black Mtn. Then down concrete path, round Little Black Mtn spur, up the cocnrete path and then back half of the Classic route. Coolish day, felt fine at the very cruisy pace. Listened to my radio which included half hour interview with Kerry O Keefe flogging his new book which was good for a laugh. He did his frog joke again which was funny.
