Long run in the arvo after BA had done Fun Run in the AM. Tired after awake in middle of night with Abby. Started to go up Mt Painter but then thought I'd get 2 laps of Lake G in if went straight there. So down the hill to Lake G and around twice. Rolled along but little slower due to tiredness. Glad to finish.

Parkrun at LakeG. Started reasonably well, possibly bit fast, behind James Minto. Legs felt pretty relaxed for pace I was going and just tried to keep Jimbo in sight as he slowly pulled away. Knew I was pushing the limit with fast K rates. Dreaded 4th K was hard and slower (obviously - its the dreaded 4th). Looked at watch coming off bridge and knew I was a chance for sub 18. Went as hard as could without spewing. Held spew till crossed line. 18.00! PB for course done so many times and 25s than last run there (not including running with Zoe) a month ago. Pleased. Think core work and speed work paying off.

Ballet intervals around Aranda Oval today as Abby home sick (i.e. not at ballet) so had cramped time. Did 5 * 1km, 3.35, 3.34, 3.35, 3,39, 3.41 with 1min rests. Found it hard to keep pace but good training session.

Took morning off in anticipation of O and house clean up, neither of which ended up being too bad. Did start this run by running OACT laptop and some maps to the office before running down to Aranda Snow Gums site and back up hill through Black Mtn reserve. Checked out a few control sites and other than some trampled grass all seemed fine. Legs felt pretty good running after not much running on weekend.
