Running warm up/down 17:49 intensity: (41 @1) + (4:23 @2) + (12:45 @3) 3.86 km (4:37 / km) +2m 4:36 / km
ahr:139 max:153 shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

Lifeline Half Marathon. Work doing it as a fundraising thing with most of staff doing 5k. We had lairy green t shirts which were better than expected to wear in terms of comfort. Have done this race before and last time some of the runner things not very well organised - water stops not organised, no k markers and general just inexperienced organising. In warm up tried to follow course out along markers and looked like would be the same this year as couldn't work out where start line was, which way course went at start etc. Legs felt pretty good though. Also plenty of time for warm up, loo stop etc

Running race 1:20:46 intensity: (3 @1) + (14 @2) + (36 @3) + (1:15:43 @4) + (4:10 @5) 21.05 km (3:50 / km) +200m 3:40 / km
ahr:167 max:174 shoes: Lunar Racer4 Blue

Lifeline Half Marathon. Started on grass in front of National Library and then bit convoluted onto foreshore path and out towards west basin. Some guy shot off the front but looked like he was running well above himself. Tried to settle into a 3min45s pace while on the early flats and had a guy with long socks running beside me. Had a chat and he said he was trying for sub 80 but thought that might be ambitious. Sounded good to me as running companion although he already seemed to be breathing fairly heavily.
We caught up to the early rabbit about 3k, which is longer than I thought he would last, and sailed past him. To his credit I did see him at the finish and he'd done a pretty good time.
Not long after long socks started to drop off a bit and I was on my own in lead. Had lead bike in front of me. Felt pretty comfortable and tried to just keep good rhythm. Odd being in front with lots of claps as you went by people. The marathoners had started at 6am and were doing two laps of course so saw a few of them on way back so got a few cheers and gave a few back.
Was keen to get to turn around at Barrenjoey drive to see how time was tracking and see how far back long socks or any others were. 40.25 or so at turn around and long socks maybe 30s back. No others powering through the field.
Probably got a bit excited here as after turn around there were lots of cheers and good running comments from those I passed who were still heading out. Think maybe started running a bit like finish line as thats only time I usually get any comments. But was holding form well and planning to push for the finish when got past final hill in Yarralumla (18k?) if had any left.
Thats pretty much what I did with good consistent pace. Pushed on after probably weston park which was 16k and got a bit of a stitch in last k, probably from a bit of gel without water. Course was confusing at the end with my lead bike rider not sure either but finished in amongst the 5k runners with comfortable win. Long socks 2nd in 82 something.
Pretty rare win obviously and was good fun. Happy with time as felt ran controlled race yet only 30s slower than gold coast when I was busting my hump. Also this course has hills which Gold Coast does not! 1st prize turned out to be 12 month membership to CISAC gym (Club Lime) which was considering for my cxworx class so that worked out well.

Running warm up/down 13:35 intensity: (47 @1) + (12:38 @2) + (10 @3) 2.06 km (6:36 / km)
ahr:122 max:142 shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

Cool down out along back part of course cheering a few colleagues. Ran last k with final colleague who was doing it hard.

Early morning pre race trot round Aranda. Didn't sleep that well so head a bit spaced out but legs seemed ok.

Stretching & Exercises 30:00 [2]

Cxworx at CISAC. Not too bad with plenty of glute work which useful for me. Not so many in class though in very big room so that was a bit weird. But then again last class at Deakin I was in the corridor so can't complain both ways! Abdominals in agony by end.

Running 50:00 [3] 11.0 km (4:33 / km)
weight:75.1kg shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

Run into work with Garmin fail. Well user error - I didn't charge it. Run felt fairly cruisy.

ahr:147 max:165 weight:75.1kg shoes: Mizuno Sayonara 3

Ballet run. Did 3 * 2km at half marathon pace (3min 45s ks) with 2min rests on Cook oval grass track. Was quite a good plan/idea as able to keep consistent pace with out hills, road crossings etc. Felt pretty ok although not easy!
