Orienteering with Rachel on the UBC-O map for the first time. Definitely some problems with the map, but considering it has never been fieldchecked I am quite happy with it. Lots of good terrain, route choices (typically left or right, but some with more options). Didn't really set super technical controls, since it is in the detailed areas that remotely made maps fall apart a bit. Will make this map properly sometime, but for now it was a lot of fun and perfectly usable.
Edit: Map uploaded. We skipped 18 and 22 because of an extra fence that wasn't mapped(18), and a bunch of tall scratchy grass for no real benefit (22). There was also an extra fence due to construction south of 2, making the route south of the building impassable.
Little mistake on 4, running outside the OOB olive green rather than on the pathway next to the building.
Not sure on the fastest way to 15, but I think it might be the north option and I went south.
Mistake on 31, should have gone to the stairs, not through the canopy.
Once again, I made the course so didn't get all of the routechoice benefit while running. I sort of knew where I was going to go for a bunch of legs before hand, just because I made the course. There is a lot less benefit from making the map if you just make it remotely.
