Note

Looking up at King's Throne shrouded in cloud above Kathleen Lake in Kluane National Park.

At the summit of King's Throne at 2000m with Pia and Leif last Sunday.

Haven't gotten around to cropping the picture yet, part of my backpack raincover used as a tripod got in the shot

Biking 1:45:00 [1]

Yukon Champs Long. Still really hurting from the Hike on Sunday up King's Throne, so was going pretty darn slow and walking some good chunks of uphills.

Green sidehilling all day.

Watched a squirrel get through a pinecone in spectacular fashion today.

Raining in the morning, so started a little later than usual after drafting up the last bit of last week's fieldwork.

Got about 10m from a bald eagle before I noticed it. I watched it for a while, and it watched me as I slowly backed away. I'm not really sure what you are supposed to do with an up close encounter with a bald eagle - but it was pretty cool.

Orienteering 1:15:00 [1]

Setting out controls for a Red Squad training. Just because I'm up in the Yukon doesn't mean I can completely escape organizing orienteering stuff. It hurt a lot after the hiking.
