Hiking 3:56:11 intensity: (2:56:11 @0) + (1:00:00 @1) 10.84 km (21:48 / km) +315m 19:02 / km

Cruising around the computer generated Big Junction map near the Highway 33 & Big White Road junction. Some really nice stuff up here, but even more technical is just over the hill on Kelowna Nordic (will be heading up there later).

Note

I am now the owner of https://davidbakker.ca/ for the next 10 years (at least).

Since the domain name became available, I figured I should invest in it and let my davidbakker.me domain lapse (I think it is still re-directing to davidbakker.ca for now, but in a month at the end of the grace period it will revert back to the public domain or whatever the appropriate word is).

Hiking 1:13:57 intensity: (43:57 @0) + (30:00 @1) 4.68 km (15:48 / km) +288m 12:05 / km

Wander in the rain with Jonathan to the SE of the North Face/Silver Slope map.

More trails than I thought on this side of the creek.

Note

First day of mapping fieldwork on Spion Kop. It looks like it is pretty wet weather for the next week, so will get all the rest of the pre-drafting done over the next few day instead of trying to get partial days of fieldwork in the rain in with the over an hour each way commute.

Hiking 5:05:46 intensity: (3:30:00 @0) + (1:35:46 @1) 8.26 km (37:02 / km) +303m 31:18 / km

Walking around for five hours in the rain mapping vegetation. Pretty much just light green everywhere, but a bit of thicker stuff and a bit of whiter stuff.

Two more bears today, so this year's count is up to 5.
