Easy shake out with the Treadmill and ASICS. Feeling good besides a cough and stuffy nose. Used the NormaTec recovery boots after. Water, rest, water, rest and carbs. Ready for tomorrow!

Ended up being a rest day. Seem to have developed a bit of a chest cold (cough, stuffy nose and chest congestion). Rest. water and more rest to kick this before race day.

Easy little shake out with Dillon after work. Saw Dr. Nagai after work to get everything adjusted before the race. Feeling a bit sore in legs.

47 minute medium long run with Hannah along coastal trail

Notes: Nice little jog with Hannah. I'm really glad that I made plans to run with her, otherwise I think I would have been tempted to bail on my run. With the time change it's getting dark before 5pm so afterwork runs are tougher to be motivated to do. I think I'm going to start doing my harder workouts in the mornings to help with motivation in getting out the door.

Easy morning jog with the dogs. Felt pretty good.

Notes: Decent workout. Legs still don't have the pep in them that I would like to feel this close to the race. Right calf and shin are still tight and cramping during cool down. Effort was right at the line every time, but body is fatigued. None of this "felt" good, but that's running sometimes. Feeling run down already and hoping to catch up on sleep and nutrients to feel 100% come Sunday.

Easy run with the pups after work. Felt ok during the run, but nauseous after. Hoping one more night of solid sleep and some water will help things for tomorrow.

Nice hike out by highway 68 in Del Monte forest with the pups. Still not feeling up to running with my stomach issues, but the hike was a good way to get the blood moving and be outside. Hoping to ease back into things tomorrow.
