Pre Race Day Shake Out

Nice and easy around Folsom area. Legs were a bit tight and heavy (probably from work yesterday and the drive up). Saw a guy at the expo for ART so hips, knee and back are feeling good. Hydrating and resting before tomorrow.

(rest day)

No running. Was supposed to bike to the parade but wasn't able to due to time restraints. Went to the chiropractor today and had everything touched up. Have a strain in my rotator cuff (right arm) but Dr. Nagai said running shouldn't affect it (we'll work on it after the marathon). Worked on upper back, neck, hips, gluten and hip flexors. Hoping everything is good to go for Sunday.

Notes: Michael came to visit last night but got a flat tire on the way, so we weren't all able to go for our usual Monday bike ride. I woke up extra early to get this in - going to be a busy day. Left knee is still sore and a touch swollen but was fine for the workout. Upper back and right shoulder were irritating me by the end. Hoping it eases off throughout the day. Tempo was right at the line all the way through. Last workout before the race.

Nice little shake out with the pups. Was a little colder than I anticipated but after a min or two things warm up. No issues during the run, but left knee was sore and swollen at the end of the work day. Icing and stretching and monitoring.

20x HOH drills, hip mob, strength x
stretch, rope, roll, ice

Notes: Nice little run out and back along the coastal trail with Dillon. Kept things comfortable and ran about a 1/2 km at marathon pace. Feeling good. Last long run is done. All that's left is eating well, drinking water, resting and one more workout.
