6x lunges, squats
55 minute medium run
stretch, rope, roll, ice

Notes: Decided to test the waters and get outside for a medium run after being off for two days. Sinuses were still a mess but otherwise felt okay. Overall body was fatigued but I just took things at a comfortable pace. Race out at Fort Ord. Hoping to do about 90 minutes tomorrow and pool. Just trying to kick the last of this cold.

Achey and feverish on and off all day. No energy to hardly even move. Need to recover... left shin is throbbing but hoping it's just part of the fever.

Yoga 3:00:00 [3]

Taught school-wide yoga on rotation to every class at school. Basically 3 hours of yoga which was nice, but being on my feet like that all day took its toll on my body. Felt super burnt out and fatigued when I got home.

Pushed workout to tomorrow in the hopes of feeling better.

Easy jog with the pups. Weird shooting pains up my left leg to my knee. Eased off after awhile but a bit concerning.

Nice little ride out to Asilomar beach and back. Legs needed the recovery after Sunday so this felt extra good. Looking forward to getting the work in tomorrow.

Notes: Really good recovery swim. Opted not to run today. Woke up feeling sore and swollen from the hips down. Swimming felt great - quads were sore for sure. Looking forward to some more recovery tomorrow.

Notes: This was surprisingly good. Despite being sick with a runny nose and congestion I raced smart and hit a PB by 35 seconds (AND was 3 minutes faster this year than last year in the same race). Today I raced by feel - I didn't look at my watch or worry about pace. I just ran my own race and kicked it at the end. I'm happy with the effort.

Finished long run for mileage

Notes: Took a nap then headed out for the second run of the day. Took the rolling hills on the coastal trail. Legs were heavy to start but things recovered quickly. It was super windy and the sand really hurt my legs and face at times. I was tough and finished. Little bit of IT band pain on the downhills, which is concerning. I'll be spending the next 2 days cross training and seeing Dr. Nagai tomorrow. Hoping it's nothing.
