Notes: Did all the pre-activation stuff today and really took my time warming up. I think it helped because my shin and legs felt fresh for this workout. Was able to focus solely on running hard for every interval. Ran with Lisa which added more motivation. It was a beautiful day - sunny and warm. Perfect for a workout. Looking forward to long run tomorrow and setting a goal this week to really focus on strength, and proper pre-act.

Took another day off to rest the shin. Still feeling fatigued and a bit under the weather. Not racing this weekend (due to weather and complicated logistics)

Left shin is not happy. Pain and swelling when walking so didn't want to aggravate it. Hopeful to be racing this weekend, but not sure due to weather and shin issues.

After work jog with the dogs to take them to the groomer. Left shin was angry especially with all the starting and stopping. Icing icing icing and seeing how things feel tomorrow.

Easy morning shake out with the dogs. Actually made it around the lower loop with them today but it was slow moving. Left shin is very sore. All of the stopping and starting was really painful. Iced when I got home but still sore to walk on. Will likely be taking some time off or pulling my bike out for some cross training.

Woke up feeling rested for the first time in a long time but the dogs were NOT wanting to be out with me. Ended up only doing about 13 minutes of running before we had to go home.

Some shin/calf tightness throughout.

Easy after work run with Lisa. Everything is tight and sore but the company was good and the cherry blossoms were out. Decent shake out getting the miles in.

Notes: Blah. Feeling like absolute garbage. Everything from my neck down hurts and aches and breathing is out of control. Going to start getting my iron intake up again (took a break for the last 2 weeks due to some stomach issues). We'll see if that helps. This run was okay. Stuck to the trails to let the legs have a rest and just kept things moving, not worrying about pace.
