Friday Jun 2

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]
(injured)
w/u for sprint race around Auckland Zoo
Orienteering race 13:00 [5]3 km (4:20 / km)
It hurt heaps but at least I could run fast on the foot. Pretty poor orienteering but I was just glad to be able to run hard so the poor result didn't really bug me.

Thursday Jun 1

Running 20:00 [2]4 km (5:00 / km)
(injured)
Managed another 20min v early in the morning before work
Running 20:00 [2]4 km (5:00 / km)
(injured)
And another 20 at lunch before heading to the airport

Wednesday May 31

Running 20:00 [2]4 km (5:00 / km)
(injured)
Back to work today. Hole in the shoe works well so had a first crack at running tonight. Managed a slow 20 minutes in reasonable pain. Definitely not doing damage though. Looks like I can race in New Zealand this weekend so long as I can hack the pain.

Tuesday May 30

Note
(injured)
Still in bed.

Went to physio. Looks like no major damage though it hurts like nothing else and walking is pretty tough. Did some experiments cutting out a hole in my insoles to stop me applying massive weight to the injury when I walk.

Monday May 29

Note
(injured)
Sat in bed most of the day.

No scans available for 2 weeks thanks to Canberras 3rd world medical service.

Sunday May 28

Running 14:00 [3]3 km (4:40 / km)
(injured)
Started a terrain run. Got a stick halfway through my foot so had to limp home.
Note
(injured)
Wish I had gone orienteering today. Then I wouldn't have been running where I was when I hurt myself. Dumb way to think.

Doctor wants me to get a scan to check nothing left in the wound. Plus take 2 days off work. At least no stiches and looks like no structural damage.

Saturday May 27

Running 25:00 [2]5 km (5:00 / km)
w/u w/d for intervals
Running 20:00 [5]6 km (3:20 / km)
Hard fartlek. 2min, 1min, 2min, 1min etc with 20 sec recovery. Lost a bit of form for the last few should have pushed the recovery out to 30sec.

Pretty good session but tired after. Won't run tonight. Save it for tomorrows race.
