Running 30:00 [3] 5.8 km (5:10 / km)

Down to main beach then followed a sandy trail parallel with the coast south. Last 10 minutes was back along the beach. Had a quick swim which made up for missing out yesterday when the beach was closed from lunchtime all afternoon because of a shark.

Running 45:00 [3] 9.0 km (5:00 / km)

Down to Merimbula Bridge then out and back along a boardwalk and trail running around the lake shore. Finished with a few kms down Merimbula main beach. The sand seemed firmer than two days ago though that might have been a perception thing - 15 minutes of sand running v about 75 on Monday. Went for a quick swim afterwards.

There must have been an Aust Day event involving inflatables. There were hundreds of people out with every kind of inflatable craft. It looked like they were preparing for a race across the harbour next to Merimbula Bridge.

Walking 1:15:00 [1] 5.3 km (14:09 / km)

Went for a bushwalk at the north end of Ben Boyd NP. Followed the shoreline track from Haycock Pt to Barmouth Beach and then back to where we started via roads. We saw three goannas and a black snake. Sam enjoyed taking a lot of photos.

Running 3:12:00 [2] 26.7 km (7:11 / km)

Wharf to wharf ( https://www.wharftowharfwalk.com.au/plan-your-walk ) - Merimbula to Tathra. The beach running was ok, the sand was a bit soft in places but not too bad. I had to walk a fair bit of the last 5km of the track into Tathra which was the only part I hadn't run before and was very rough and very undulating. I lost the trail at one point between Games Bay and White Rock and had a 5min bush bash to find it.

I got to Tathra (Kianinny Bay) right on 3 hours but had arranged to meet Sam and Elise at the skate park which meant an extra 12 minutes climbing the Tathra headland and back down the other side to Tathra main beach.
11 AM

Walking 1:20:00 [1] 6.5 km (12:18 / km)

After my epic run I drove back to Turingal Head. Walked around some of the shore of Wallagoot Lake and then back along the trail where I had run a few hours before to meet Elise and Sam who were walking the 9km from Tathra to Wallagoot Gap.
