Running long 2:10:50 [2] 20.5 km (6:23 / km) +250m 6:01 / km

Maiden Gully to Crusoe return. Really really slow. Yesterdays fast race in the heat took more out of me than I realised.

Real Orienteering race (Axedale) 47:25 [5] *** 7.1 km (6:41 / km) +160m 6:00 / km
spiked:9/9c

Realised this was to be the fastest event of the year, so set out to run hard for my best speed of the year. Went probably a bit too hard early on. Went into anaerobic mode after trying to stay with Toph. End result still good for me though.

Note
(rest day)

What better way to celebrate spring than to take a rest. Actually my knee felt a bit sore. If I had a bike I might have been tempted to ride. But thank goodness I don't so I didn't! Looking forward to super fast Brown's Reef tomorrow. I think it smy favourite map in the Bendigo immediate circle.

Running hills 25:15 [4] 4.0 km (6:19 / km) +280m 4:41 / km

Had planned to do a couple of runs up Pyramid Hill on a drive back from work at Kerang. There wasn't time as it turned out. But I did find a new granite covered hill in northern Victoria. No, not Bald Hill. This one looked really complex from a distance. Up close I realised it is pretty much covered with prickly pear where there is no rock. This is what Mt Tarrengower might come to look like. So I did 14 ascents of Apollo Hill instead. Not a big hill, but the biggest around my drive home from work. Knee not sore which was good news.

Running warm up/down 10:00 [1] 1.5 km (6:40 / km)

Running 27:47 [2] 4.5 km (6:10 / km)

Looks slow, but the second half was running back to the car with the filled petrol container.

Running 12:00 [3] 2.3 km (5:13 / km)

Started to make up the days planned training time, but piked because of a sore knee.
