I'm getting worse so I can get better more spectacularly. At least I wasn't deluded enough to go exercising like some other sickies on this site. Spent a couple of hours before dusk extending the Browns Reef map for 2009 NOL etc. Its very convenient being able to drive 5 minutes and then start mapping good terrain. Where is the Noisy One?

Knee cartiledge, nose and throat infection. Might do a rest day tomorrow and score the tick-box trifecta.

MTB (Not O) 1:05:30 [3]

Today is Bendigo Cup Day, notable as a monument to the Bendigo Liberal Club... I mean Jockey Club, once having the clout to dictate when Bendigo would take its Cup holiday. Personally, I'd rather take Melbourne Cup as a holiday. My interest in the local nags (or any nags) is zero. But I am interested in other activities that take place on Melbourne Cup Day, such as running up hills in near Bright. Oh well, I can take my vicarious angst out on the class responsible for this situation next Saturday night. There is a Don's Party at our residence. Attendees have to be prepared to cheer if and when Honest John does the Malcolm style lip quivering (I remember the original.. and it only happens every quarter century). If the unexpected happened, the night may come to resemble one of those Japanese group exit affairs. Hoping not.
So today was a sleep in mid-week, followed by a bike ride. Took the northern tour up through Nerring Forest. A change is as good as a holiday, even if this is a holiday. Low point was the new piles of domestic rubbish. Some of the locals are utterly without redeeming aspect. After spending 65 minutes in the bike, spent even longer bucketing recycled water onto the garden. Not sure I can keep this up through another summer.
