Running long 1:55:11 [3] 17.94 km (6:25 / km) +253m 6:00 / km
shoes: Asics

A slow jog through the Welsford combining wildflower spotting with 'training'. Julie had the novel experience of Neil stopping regularly on a run to look at the flowers. Its very very attractive out there at the moment. Photos to come.
Supplemented by a creekside run for extra distance after arriving back home.

Note

This really is a special time out there.

Real Orienteering race (Fiddlers Green) 1:15:00 [2] **** 9.34 km (8:02 / km) +140m 7:28 / km
spiked:12/18c shoes: Asics

Another map on which the navigation requirement has jumped a notch with all the growth after the wet season. Fiddlers Green. More of the latter (green) meant more of the former (Fiddling). Only spiked 2 of 3 controls, which was far worse than on Devonshire a week prior to this run. And I was slower than I believed possible, an obvious sign I still have a viral companion.

Running warm up/down 6:00 [2] 1.0 km (6:00 / km) +36m 5:05 / km

Warmup. Pointless really.

Running 56:00 [2] 9.7 km (5:46 / km) +65m 5:35 / km
shoes: Asics

Evening run along the creek.

Running 34:30 [2] 5.65 km (6:06 / km) +45m 5:52 / km
shoes: Asics

Easy run through the wonderful yellow of the Welsford. The ground cover wattles are coming out now. Not gold dust but more like gold gravel cover.

Note
(sick)

Symptoms easing and couldn't resist a run in the fine weather. Took it very slow though.

Note

Rather than have a blank log (still under a viral attack) thought I would post some interesting pictures from the files.
