Did quite a few of the MTB trails in the You Yangs downhill area. Only mannaged one black and decided discretion was the better part. No real idea of time or distance. Disable the bike computer in one of my early crashes and didn't realise until the end.

A loop around all the trails in the other YY MTB area. Flatter, faster and more trees to hit. Lessons learnt.
1. Parks is deluded if they think one MTB trail in Bendigo will reduce pressure on the other informal tracks. If people make the effort of going to the place to ride, one trail won't satisfy most punters.
2, If I took this sport up as a regular thing, plaster would be inevitable. Its just a matter of time until a tree gets in the way at speed. I think I was much closer to the injury threshold today than any recent climbing trip, orienteering event or most of my memory of white water. I wonder how Parks and the club deal with liability issues.
