Walking 7:00:00 [3] 9.0 km (46:40 / km) +900m 31:07 / km

Followed the official Rob Roy track then a rough trail, snow grass slopes and moraine climbing. Ended up across the cirque from the Rob Roy icefall. Sat and ate a late lunch watching seracs peeling off and avalanching down the glacial face. Spectacular show. I wanted to continue and climb some way up Homestead Peak, but the boss insisted on retreat as the weather was changing. I think history shows she was too conservative. Still a fantastic day with an active glacial cirque all to ourselves. Forget the "Great Walks"! Its just advertising.
