Real Orienteering race 54:00 [4] **** 4.86 km (11:07 / km) +100m 10:04 / km
spiked:7/11c shoes: Salamon Speedcross Green

Not a stellar performance. Which could be explained by the fact I have never field-worked this area.
Control 3. Lost 3.45. Not sure how I made such a massive parallel error. Actually, the problem was that I didn't work it out sooner. Nothing was making sense and I kept going in hope.
Control 8. Lost 3.30. In my defence, I walked past where I expected the control to be, it was there, and i didn't see it. Lost confidence.
Control 9. 45 seconds. Minor detour on wrong part of track. Pretty tame loss compared to what I could see going on around me.
Control 11. 15 seconds. Wrong side of knoll. Didn't read description.

Vote of approval of use of low visibility section of the map. We don't get much opportunity to test skills in low vis terrain. It showed.
