Julie had put out a challenge to the members of her exercise group to do hills on Sunday morning and report in. I suggested I had a hill for her. All 95 metres of it.
At the base of the Big Hill Range some grammatical discussion ensued.
A single trip up the hill is an ascent.
A second trip up the hill is a single repetition.
A third trip up the hill is a second repetition, allowing you to say you have done reps of the hill.
A fourth trip up the hill is still reps.
So we did three, seeing no gain in a fourth.
I was pleased to manage three ascents, but less pleased to be left behind by Julie each time, though she did have to slow to a walk on two of the three ascents. At least my ascent was all runs, though you might have needed time lapse to work that out.
Notable as the first time I have driven to a run start since the lock down began. The diesel engine in the 4wd needed a run.
