British Fell Relays - leg 4
6th Ladies team - Dark Peak A
Not been feeling particularly well this week and was still vomiting on Friday morning but they didn't have a reserve so off i went.
Spent 1h15 standing around in the freezing rain waiting for the nav leg to come in so consequently wasn't particularly warm when they eventually decided to mass start the 100 or so teams that hadn't gone out yet.

Gorgeous route - shame about the clag ruining the view for most of it!
Felt strong on the run out and managed to run a lot more of the climb then i had expected to be able to. Dropped Ellie after about 2km and promptly fell waist deep into a bog and had to be pulled out by a passing man. Legs didn't really feel great until i eventually got to the top and suddenly my legs felt great. Off i went back the way we had come and flew straight past the few women around me. Continued to feel great and loved it. Especially when i got to the last summit and could see Loch Lomand in all it's beauty. Did some dramatic sliding around but managed not to fall which i was pleased with. Passed some more men and then there was no-one around me so i just ran my little legs off.

Turns out i had the fastest downhill split of all the women and also =7th place of everyone including men for the run in.

Really pleased with how i did and beat some good men who also started in the mass start. Considering I'm ill I'm v happy.
