Up in the Lakes with Tobias, Max and Elena. Very randomly Max had booked us into the same hotel as the FRA dinner! So off up the Kentmere Horseshoe with Hannah R. Bumped into Bronwen and her dad who were headed up the Yoke so we ran up there with them before dropping a little back onto the race route. ABSOLUTELY FREEZING. But beautiful. Clear skies and snow but with wind then genuinely knocked both of us off our feet more than once. Saw various other likeminded runners out and about so all in all a pretty sociable run! Pretty sure whatever cold i had left has been physically blown out of me but stay tuned to see whether that lasts...

Night Nav: Super fun session tonight. Basically an hour score (we were actually told 1hour15 but we didn't hear that oops). Pretty easy nav but fun in the dark and definitely took some better lines than the boys. Legs feeling good so we went for it a little. Back with time to spare and more points than any of the other groups even though they all heard the "1hour15" comment and so had an extra 15mins on us. Snazzy head torches from silva and a new compass that i have't quite worked out how to use yet.... (but tonight we just followed our noses - no need for any of that proper orienteering stuff). Lactate test on Thursday might be a little interesting after a packed season, two weeks off and then a blast round 10km two days before.. we'll see.
