My legs felt fantastic! I saw more deer, Buffalo, and turkeys than I did people :). Trails were still in really good shape.

Did some map exercises - determing which quadrant of the circle the control description fit with. 20 c, and it took over a mile to do, which shocked me. I got 18/20 right. The point features I was pretty good with, but the contour features were much more difficult. Then switched to planning routes for the first half of the map.

Pyramid run.

Beautiful weather, unfortunately means that we no longer have the trail mostly to ourselves. had to dodge several un-courteous dog walkers (and passed many more very courteous ones that I appreciated).

3rd in EM, 7 overall.

Physically and navigationally race went really well. Mind was just not in it to push hard. I think it was a combo of 3rd weekend in a row of racing, crappy cold weather after a few really nice days, no nice white woods, and one supposed to be sneaky route choice that didn’t pan out without crossing private, which left me grumpy. I think almost all the people that beat me did the N loop first, so even though it was less points in must have been faster travel with better end game.

Forgot e caps and did a poor job eating, only 3 snacks.
