Made a last minutes written cue and took some google maps screenshots, with plan B to use the “return to start feature” on my watch. The cues + the screenshots worked surprisingly well and it was fun to explore someplace completely new a little bit this way, despite the jet lag

Rented kayaks and did a very similar loop to our running route. It was breezy but beautiful out and kayaking in the canals was fun

Some of the hottest and most humid whether we have had so far made thisnot the most enjoyable run. We also talked ourselves out of bringing camelbacks which was a mistake. Recovery week overall was a success.

Map simulation teaching you t look past all of the features to the most important one - contours. I thought the position on the paper would give it away, but ultimately following the contour profiles was the most efficient, lesson learned!
