Ski Mountaineering hills 5:45:00 [4]** +1397m

Today our gang of ten (two friends from yesterday could not make it today) climbed and skied Mt. Diller three times. We found a solid snowbridge over the main creek but had to ski down a steep bank to the snowbridge.

The first climb up Mt. Diller was hardpack and icy at the top so I used my harscheisen. Then the dense clouds rolled in and the descent was in low visibility, but we found a nice slope that was hardpack with a dusting of powder - perfect!

The second climb we had a brief graupel downpour, but then the sun came out and the snow was wonderfully soft corn for our second descent - totally fun!

The third climb up the corn snow was great, but it was getting colder, and by the time we descended, the upper slopes were ski-chattering bulletproof boiler plate, but the lower slopes were really fun soft powder. We found our snowbridge, climbed up the steep bank, then descended more beautiful corn and powder to finish up a great day with great friends.
