First day out on the bike this year :-) Up to frozen Ptarmigan Lake, Buteo Lake, and then through several snowbanks up to deep blue Sorceror Lake. Most of the snowbanks had narrow asphalt ribbons ( 3" to 12" in width) which were fun to negotiate on the bike. The best one was about 200 feet long on a hill, so I enjoyed steering down through the narrow pathway. A few snowbanks had not melted enough to ride so I walked the bike through the soft snow.

Parts of these lakes are Bald Eagle Preserves. Hopefully they are thriving and not being overly disturbed by visitors. Spotted an eagle nest perched atop a Pinus Jeffrey, possibly abanodoned, but hopefully I can revisit soon and monitor any activity.
